The Orchard Park High School Drama Club is proud to present Chicago: Teen Edition. Adapted for young performers, the Bob Fosse, John Kander and Fred Ebb musical will be presented March 16-19. (Not suitable for children under 12).

Set in Prohibition-Era Chicago, aspiring performer Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap… until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines. With the help of “celebrity” attorney, Billy Flynn, and the corrupt but helpful Matron Mama Morton, they ultimately join forces in search of the “American Dream”: fame, fortune, and acquittal.

This sharp edged satire features a dazzling score by Kander and Ebb and delivers an homage to legendary director and choreographer Bob Fosse. With the iconic songs, All That Jazz, Cell Block Tang, and Razzle Dazzle, Chicago: Teen Edition will delight audiences who have seen the show and captivate those seeing it for the first time.
