STAP Comm is running a thrift pop-up on April 16th and 17th before and after school and during lunch periods. Students will be able to purchase gently used clothing items donated by Orchard Park High School faculty, staff, and students. All items will cost $1.00 or one canned food item. Proceeds will benefit the Windom Food Pantry, Presbyterian Church, Windom Community Church, and the Family Solutions Center.
There will be a preview for the pop-up after the 7 pm STAP Comm meeting on April 15th. Some suggested food items you can bring in exchange for items from the pop-up are cereal, peanut butter, boxed mac & cheese, pasta and rice, spaghetti sauce, and granola bars; canned tuna and chicken; canned soups, stews, and chili; canned fruits and veggies; and beans, canned or dried.
Mrs. Grossman’s Life Skills students helped sort the clothes donated to the pop-up and hung up advertisements. They will also be working some shifts during the event.
Support for this event is greatly appreciated because, ideally, STAP Comm would like the thrift pop-up to become an annual event.
