A New Era . The construction site of the new Buffalo Bills stadium in Orchard Park, New York during a beautiful and vibrant morning sunrise. The picture captures all the machinery and construction equipment being used as well as the progress of the stadium. The new stadium represents a new era for Buffalo, its sports teams, and its people. With the stadium being built, and the sunrise starting a new day; the picture shows that things are changing in Buffalo when it comes to the sporting world. The Bills are finally good again, the Sabres are getting there, and the Bandits have dominated the professional lacrosse world for many years. Buffalo sports are rebuilding and becoming great again, and the new Bills stadiums represents that.

Winner takes all. Caroline Brown and Lainey Babich playing at OP Girls Varsity Basketball tryouts in 1-on-1 competition. An exciting week of basketball tryouts for the varsity girls team kicked off the season. The girls worked hard for an official spot on the team, fighting each other for a starting position. Caroline Brown, a sophomore with lots of potential, was pulled up for playoffs last season, and is playing in her first full varsity season this year. Big things are expected as she goes up against the best players and succeeds.

September 25, 2023, Orchard Park, NY--OPHS Junior, Morgan Dickman. After a soccer game against West Seneca, Morgan is found doing her Algebra 2 homework. The life of a student-athlete is not easy. They spend hours at a time trying to balance their academics and athletics. But with good time management and a good balance between being a student and an athelete, they can still stay ahead of school work and play without too much stress.

October 31, 2023, Orchard Park, NY--New this year to OPHS, Mr. Hackford recruits students to his ranks with a sign that says "Be a hero. Take Fantasy Lit." Some may know that Mr. Hackford loves all things Fantasy. He has built this costume over time and buys a new element for it each year. The 2023 addition are the braces on his forearms.

September 21, 2023, Orchard Park, NY--The Pit: Construction workers and heavy machinery continue digging a large hole for the Buffalo Bills new stadium. The new stadium site is right across from the current, will cost $1.7B to build, and, when done, will hold roughly 63,000 diehard Bills fans. NYS approved the project on April 10th, 2023. Many eat, sleep, and breathe Bills football, though, a majority were against the new stadium deal, as it would mean an uptick in taxes. Of the 1.7 billion dollar project, local taxpayers are responsible for roughly $850M. With that being said, the public should have knowledge of where their money is going and how effectively their money is being used in a project of this magnitude, and here one can see that the massive undertaking is clearly underway.
