The World Junior Hockey Championships (WJHC) is an annual hockey tournament where the top 10 under-20 teams around the globe fiercely compete for the championship title. The 2025 tournament was held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from December 26 to January 5. Competitors included Canada, Czechia, Finland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.
Team USA claimed their 7th title, their second in a row, competing against Latvia in the first round, with a dominating 5-1 win. USA carried on strong with a close 4-3 win against Finland and continued their winning streak in the gold medal game with a 6-2 win against Sweden, making them 7th-time WJHC winners.
