Post Prom is a memorable night for the senior class. It’s a chance to say goodbye to the school and reminisce. This year’s post-prom is Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:30 p.m. It will be chaperoned by high school faculty and staff and run by PTO volunteers once prom has ended.
This year’s theme will be New Orleans so expect a Southern/Mardi Gras vibe when entering. The halls will be decorated from floor to ceiling with beads, masks, and vibrant colors, and games will be everywhere.
Post Prom coordinator Maureen Bass said in an email, “Some of the activities will include inflatable bull riding, Vegas card tables, a haunted house, henna, hair tinsel, a petting zoo, closed room padded dodge ball, a real ghost hunt, ping pong, corn hole, and black light fun.”
Bass also said that they will continue the tradition of the Senior Hall of Posters, which will have a full wall of all the best senior memories with pictures provided by families. While some events are still a surprise, expect a full night of busy fun.
Post prom is an event seniors look forward to all year. Senior Megan Lux, who will be attending, said, “[It] sounds like a fun evening, a great way to celebrate our High School years. I can’t wait.”
There will also be a lot of major prizes, which in past years have included “TVs, mini refrigerators, and a $250 gift card; and a LEGO Millenium Falcon, a Dry Bar hair dryer, an Xbox, virtual reality headset, and earbuds,” said Bass. There will also be games throughout the night with prizes such as smaller gift cards and prizes donated by local businesses. Near the end of the event, everyone will gather for the grand prize drawing for $2,025. All prizes will be handed out by 1:30 a.m.
One of the best parts of post prom will be the food and drinks. Bass said, “Sugar is the main ingredient!” Seniors can expect an assortment of foods and drinks all night long. There will be some healthier options, but it is highly recommended to enjoy some sweets!
Post prom is expected to be a fun, eventful night, with activities and prizes to look forward to. It’s a chance to hang out with the whole senior class one last time and say goodbye to the school.
“I think it’s so nice we have a special event to get to spend time with our class before graduation. I’ll miss it.” Goldwater shows the impact post prom has on seniors–a night that will stay with them forever; so, cancel plans and come to post prom Saturday, May 31, at 10:30 p.m for one more eventful night with the Class of 2025.
