The Orchard Park Girls varsity soccer and swim & dive teams have come together looking for donations of gently used athletic clothing for boys and girls. All donations can be brought to Mr. Norvilitis in room 227 or to Mr. Graffeo in room 130 from 2:45 – 5:00 p.m. daily until the drive ends on September 26th. Those interested in helping are asked to bring their donations as soon as possible.
The drive encourages students, parents, and community members to donate gently used athletic clothes, such as shorts, t-shirts, and any other athletic wear. The donations are mainly targeted for high school students, but can be for all ages. The donations will be given to students and people in the community who need these items.
The drive provides a great opportunity for students who find themselves without the athletic gear they need and for community members to help support one another.
Senior Molly Lynch donated quite a bit to the drive. When asked about her interest in doing so, she said, “To give back to my community, and this is a great opportunity to do so.”
Both girls’ soccer and girls’ swim & dive encourage everyone to clean out their wardrobes and make a difference, one piece of athletic wear at a time.
