Hit musician and entertainer Drake has confirmed the upcoming release of the third installment in his series of Scary Hours EPs on November 17th, just over a month after dropping the album For All the Dogs to widespread critical and fan acclaim. The Toronto rapper certified the release date and tracklist of the project, which is meant to serve as a deluxe of For All the Dogs, via his Instagram on November 16th.
With Drake’s widespread appeal netting him many Grammys and other prestigious awards, he’s gathered a large fanbase that ranges from young children to adults. Because of his superstar status, Drake has many supporters that can’t wait for his next offering.
“I’m very excited for ‘Scary Hours 3’,” said senior Taylor Helfrich when asked about her thoughts on the upcoming record. “I thought his last album was great, so I’m eager to see what Drake does with this.”
“I wanted to buy tickets for his tour when he comes to Buffalo, but they all sold out,” says Ella Merritt. “I’m glad that I’ll be able to get some new Drake material to listen to as long as I can’t go to the concert, though.”
However, not everyone shares the same love and excitement for Drake’s music.
“Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of his,” explains Gavin Rauh, continuing “I think he should pick one; either singing or rapping.”
Senior Izzy Ziobro seems to share Rauh’s sentiment. “Drake is so overrated. I’ve never understood the hype. I’d much rather listen to Taylor Swift. That’s a real artist,” said Ziobro.
With Drake’s It’s All a Blur tour coming to Buffalo in February 2024, many, though, are rushing to scoop up tickets for one of his two shows at Keybank Center. This new album is thought to be a teaser for the rest of the aforementioned tour. Regardless of the tour, Drake’s faithful are sure to be excited about his next 6-song deluxe.
